Every year, the 亚洲协会 offers workshops for USG faculty on topics related to Asian Studies.   These workshops are designed to offer opportunities for Georgia faculty to gain expertise in and learn how to integrate teaching Asian topics into their curriculum. * April 2019 -  Women's & Gender Issues in Asia

The 2019 教师 Development workshop took place on Friday, April 12th and Saturday, April 13th.  Speakers included Salli Vargis, Sunita Manian, Sandrine Catris, Julia C. Bullock, and Anne Zacharias-Walsh.  Topics included the Impact of Globalization on Women in India, Colonial Policy, Gender Relations, and HIV/AIDS in India, Gender Issues in Xinjiang, China, Tracing the Impact of "The Second Sex" on Japanese Women, The Rise of Feminist Labor Unions in Japan

* March 2018 -  Islam in Asia: Faith Ethnicity, & 冲突

The Asia Council's 2018 教师 Development Workshop took place March 23rd and 24th and focused on Islam in Asia.  This year, the 亚洲协会 voted to take a topical approach rather than focus on one country.  Speakers included Dr. 保罗罗代尔 of Georgia Southern, Dr. Sandrine Catris, Dr. 乔纳森Leightner, and Dr. Sudha Ratan of Augusta University.  Topics included Uyghur Religiosity and the Chinese State, the Origins of Islam, Islam in Island Southeast Asia, Thailand's Muslim Minority, Islam in South Asia, and the Rohingya of Myanmar.

* April 2017 - Teaching Japan

The 亚洲协会's 2017 教师 Development Workshop focused on Japan. The workshop took place on GSU's Dunwoody campus on April 7th & 8th, 2017.   The Atlanta Taiko Project performed Friday night at dinner to kick off the workshop.  Speakers included  Adam Lyons from Harvard, Dr. Yoshi Domoto, the Executive Director of the Japan-America Society of Georgia, Dr. Brian Woodall from Georgia Tech, Dr. Masako Mori from the University of Georgia, and Dr. Cheryl Crowley from Emory University.

* April 2016 - The Korean Peninsula

The 亚洲协会's 2016 workshop focused on the Korean Peninsula.  The workshop was held on April 8th & 9th at Georgia Perimeter College.  It was an exciting workshop with Dr. 汤姆·多兰博士. 李香顺博士. 埃里克·斯皮尔斯女士. Tea Youn Kim-Kassor,  and the Atlanta Consul General of the Republic of Korea, the Honorable Seong-Jin Kim, giving presentations.
